Automated Building Systems Inc. (ABS) is a growing Connecticut based company that installs, services and commissions integrated building automation solutions. We are seeking an experienced BAS Application Engineer to join the engineering team. While designing of energy management/HVAC Controls Systems is the primary focus, some programming experience is desired.
The Application Engineer will develop drawing packages for new DDC projects as well as compiling close out documents including as-built drawings. Other responsibilities include supporting field personal, and assisting the Sales Team to develop system drawings in support of technical proposals. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction and provide other graphic support as required. Five or more years of AutoCAD design experience and understanding of temperature control sequence of operations experience required.
Position Requirements
- Five or more years of experience with AutoCAD working for a temperature control/BAS company.
- Ability to prepare engineered designed control system drawings, equipment sequence of operations, related controls system programming and graphics generation.
- Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot machinery with which our control systems interface.
- The ability to work independently as well as on a project team.
- The ability to work on strict deadlines without constant supervision.
